I am originally from South Bend, Indiana but I now call Pensacola, Florida home. I studied computer science at Indiana University as well as organizational management at Bethel College. I have earned two Bachelor's of Science degrees, one from Indiana University in 2009 and one from Bethel College in 2007. Hobbies include swimming and bike riding as well as photography. I also learned to play the drums at a young age. I also enjoy writing and have even writen two novels, however neither has yet been published. Someday I hope that my novels will be published. But until then I will continue to write fiction in my spare time, just because it is fun and interesting. I have had a variety of jobs, including factory jobs, but now I am currently focusing on my information technology career, and I have worked in the information technology (or IT) field for about the last seven years or so. In the information technology field I have mainly focused on website development and website design, as well as graphic design, webmaster, and SEO (search engine optimization), as that seems to be the main demand for most businesses these days, although I have also done technical support as well as network administration tasks as well as even programming (mainly with php and mysql). I have even done video editing work as well. However, I really enjoy IT related work, especially website development and my skills are constantly imporving and I hope to continue working in this exciting field for many years to come.

Latest Update!

I have created a new, custom, flat file CMS called BS-CMS. It is a simple flat-file cms project which uses only php and javascript. The front end is Bootstrap based, hence the name BS-CMS. This was created mainly as a learning project for myself. The first (beta) release has just been released on my own website as well as on github. I am now the owner / sole-proprietor of a new media company in Pensacola, FL. This website has recently been updated by me to reflect a more current website design. There have been three previous versions of this website, which were great for their time, but as web standards continue to evolve the older sites had become a little outdated and stale, so updating or remaking this website has been necessary on a contiuning basis. Shane Zentz Graphic Design

I have been working with and creating computer graphics since about 2005 or so. And over time I have become very good at it. I have mainly utilized Adobe's Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign applications to create graphic designs, as well as logos, image manipulation, image processing, web graphics, and even print advertisements and professional brochures. However, I have also used other applications as well, including Gimp, Inkscape, PagesPlus, Corel Paint, and even others. Some of my graphic design work for print advertisements has even appeared in nationwide magazines. Check out my Graphic Design page to see some examples of my past work. Shane Zentz Programming

I first started tinkering around with programming around 2000, but never very seriously until I went to Indiana University in 2005 to study computer science. There I learned the basics of programming, starting with the C++ language. Over time I began to also learn the more advanced topics of programming, and also I learned several more programming languages, such as java, php, and lisp just to name a few. Computer programming is not an easy task, but the great thing about it is that once you know how to program in one language you can learn another language very quickly and easily. For example it was very easy for me to learn java after learning C++ because they are pretty similar, I just needed to learn the syntax differences between the languages. I have not done as much programming as I would like in my jobs but I still try to keep my programming skills sharp, because you never know when a little programming skill can come in very handy.

Video recording and editing is mainly just a hobby for me now, but it was a part of my previous job, and through that I became pretty good at it.
